the 2 lakes i went to: trapper lake and marqurette lake where gorgeous and i was the only person there. i saw 4 other people total but they were only there for a day hike. the lakes where crystal clear and only 5 feet deep. i saw a few trout but mostly only when i scared them by falling into the lake which i did twice. but without even a bight i gave up after 2 days. the trout i did manage to see where really cool. the ones i could identify where rainbow trout but the others i cannot find what they are. i think i need to find some other trout fisherman to kinda train with. from what i have read trout are very specific with what flys they will hit on.
the walk back to the car was alot easier and only took me about 3 hours. Oregon has a huge and diverse mushroom population so alot of my pictures for here are of them
it was really cool too. i had akira off leash quite a bit up there. when i was fishing i let her run free along the lake and the whole 6miles walk back to the car she was off leash. she did very well; she would come back to within sight when i called. i still think if a deer or other large mammal lead her to far away she would get lose but i think my biggest fear with her being offleash is roads more then her being lost in the wilderness.
camping the first night (off the trail, staid here Wednesday night so i could start early the next day)
embers of my fire
hike up (gps logging)
probably golden eagle feather
Akira in the lake
vista from campsite
trees along the roads in the area
im watching the bears game right now at a bar that has free wifi. its the 3rd quarter with 7:30 left. we are only down by three hopefully we can win this one.
p.s.
i have some videos of akira on the trail and such but they aren't uploading so ill have to try it later
