southern Canada (Vancouver)

got into Canada Monday midday and walked around town for 2 hours.  then today i did a 6 mi hike around town that took around 4 hours.  Vancouver is very nice.  it reminds me a little like San Francisco due to all the hills the city resides on and being bordered by water in some parts.  Vancouver is a collection of large islands and the main island is pretty packed so besides walking there wasn't many other good ways to get around.
their roads are a little weird.  they will have a 3 lane highway that has lights above it to indicate which direction gets the middle lane.  i know in Chicago we have similar roads that are are open to a particular direction depending on the time but i see them much more frequently out here.
after checking with verizon and finding that roaming rates are outrageous i wanted to let you guys know it will be very hard for me to post within the next three weeks i plan to be in Canada.  right now im at a coffee shop and hopefully i will find more but the further north i go the more secluded it gets.
